The Recreation and Leisure Studies degree contains a core of courses in leisure studies, research, and management. The Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies offers the following academic plans:
- General four-year BA Recreation and Leisure Studies
- Honours BA Recreation and Leisure Studies
- Honours BA Recreation and Sport Business
- Honours BA Therapeutic Recreation
- Honours BA Tourism and Parks Management
- Double Major in Honours Recreation and Sport Business, Therapeutic Recreation, and Tourism and Parks Management
Note:
For all plans in Recreation and Leisure Studies, students may complete a maximum of 1.0 unit towards their degree as any four 0.25 unit University of Waterloo courses. This may include a maximum of two .25 credit university level Activity courses taken at another university (e.g. WLU KPE courses). Students may not count two 0.25 unit courses as a 0.5 unit Restricted Elective.
