Students may withdraw from a term or from their program depending on the time of the term and depending on any extenuating circumstances for that student. In all cases the student must submit an Undergraduate Notice of Withdrawal form to the Registrar with the appropriate approval signatures. The following sections describe the criteria and constraints for each of these alternatives.
A student who voluntarily withdraws from the term is expected to return to his/her program of studies within one year from the beginning of the term from which he/she is withdrawing. After this period, if the student has not enrolled in the program, he/she will be deemed to have withdrawn from the program (BASc or BSE).
A student who withdraws from their program (BASc or BSE), or is deemed to have done so, will be required to apply for re-admission in order to be considered for continuation of his/her program of studies.
See the Fees section of the calendar with respect to eligibility for refund of fees paid for the term.

A student may voluntarily withdraw from the term within the first five weeks of classes. Withdraw from the program:
Up to four weeks prior to the date Final Examinations begin, a student may voluntarily withdraw from the program (BASc or BSE) by notifying his/her Associate Chair or Program Advisor.
