Students enrolled in any Honours or Four-Year General Major academic plan may pursue a minor designation in Management Studies.
The Management Studies Minor requires successful completion of a minimum of five academic course units (ten courses) with a minimum cumulative average of 70%, including:
- AFM 131
- ECON 101
- ENGL 109 or any ENGL 210
- MSCI 211 or PSYCH 338
- PHIL 215
- a course in statistics (available in several departments)
- four of:

Notes:
- The Management Studies Minor, Option, or Diploma, is not available to students currently enrolled in or who have graduated from university business programs, plans, or subplans, including University of Waterloo "X and Business" academic plans.
- A maximum of three courses may be double-counted between the Management Studies Minor, Option, or Diploma, and any other plan.
- Students in academic plans in Human Resources Management are precluded from taking Management Studies plans.
