Research methods include the formulation of good problems, critical analysis of existing literature and methods, the formulation of ideas and research plans and papers. In addition to problem formulation and definition, design also includes needs analysis, criteria, generation of alternative solutions, feasibility analysis, optimization, selection, and implementation & solution.
