The third option, apart from the MEng degree program and the GDip diploma program in Electric Power Engineering is the Certificate of Completion which is awarded to a participant upon successful completion of a course from the list of courses offered within the program. As in the previous two cases, these courses are offered on a cost recovery basis, and are offered in an on-line web-based environment. This otpion is designed for those industry personnel who are seeking to update their knowledge on any specific subject in the field and would not want to go through the full package of six / nine courses for the GDip / MEng requirements in Electric Power Engineering.
Admission Requirements:
Admission requirements for the Certificate of Completion include an engineering degree or equivalent from a recognized university. In the absence of this, academic qualifications and work experience in the power industry will be considered.
Course Requirements:
In this option, candidates are awarded a Certificate of Completion after successful completion of a course taken from a select group of courses offered in Electric Power Engineering. Candidates must achieve a grade of 50% in the course in question.
