About Combinatorics and Optimization Programs |
|
The Department of Combinatorics and Optimization offers programs of study and research leading to the degrees of Master of Mathematics (MMath) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). There are three MMath programs available. One requires a combination of course work and a thesis while a second involves primarily course work. The third MMath program is the Co-op program which includes eight months work in Industry. The PhD degree is a second graduate degree and requires a minimum of two years of study beyond the Master's degree. The main requirement for this degree is the writing of a thesis embodying the results of original research.
