Algebra, Logic and Number theory
Group theory, ring theory, algebraic geometry, Lie groups and Lie algebras, representations of groups and associative algebras, combinatorics on words, universal algebra, algebraic and analytic number theory
Analysis
Functional analysis, harmonic analysis, operator algebras, functional equations
Geometry and Topology
Differential geometry, fractal geometry, finite projective geometry, K-theory
Research seminars are regularly scheduled in several of the above areas at which recent results are presented and discussed. Graduate students are expected to present seminars as part of their training.
